Why use soy & bee wax?
Candles have been used for thousands of years as a form of light, elegant ambiance and in spiritual rituals. They provide a great reliable form of light and warmth to fill homes with peace, delight and fragrance.
Most candles are made with paraffin wax because it is a petroleum based by-product that is less expensive to produce than soy or bee wax. Soy and bee wax are healthier alternatives to the paraffin blend wax. Soy and bee wax components are completely non-toxic and emit no toxins.
Advantages of Soy:
No refined by-products
Little residue, that is biodegradable
Soy and Bee products support American Farmers
Scent free unless a fragrance is added
Easy clean-up with soap and water
Beeswax points to consider:
No oil base, easy clean-up
Beeswax emits negative ions. It has been debated, but most studies show that beeswax is the only candle that emits negative ions while burning. Negative ions help clean the air, similar to how a rain storm helps clean the air outside. Try burning a candle containing beeswax to help you feel calmer throughout the day.
Beeswax does not expire. In fact beeswax obtain more beauty with age. A harmless white film may develop naturally over the bee wax as time passes. Many find this natural white etching to be a very desirable feature. Bee wax has been found in the pyramids virtually unchanged after thousands of years.
